About SAMPE and its Japan Chapter


The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) was founded in 1944 by nine aircraft professionals in California. Throughout its history, SAMPE has served as the World’s leading source of material and process information. It provides a forum for scientists, engineers, technicians, and companies involved in the most advanced developments in materials and processing. SAMPE has over 60 chapters worldwide, including six Asian chapters in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Beijing, Shanghai, Australia and India. The Japan chapter of SAMPE was formed in 1984. It has, through its sponsorship of JISSE-1~12, contributed greatly to advanced materials and processes.
